The Event Details:
Sharon Day, Maxine Sanders, Geraldine Beskin (The Atlantis Bookshop) & Darren V. Strongman present:
‘An Evening with Alex Sanders’
The Evening will start with a very special Alexandrian Rite ‘led by Maxine Sanders.
Maxine rarely works publicly, in fact, this will be the first time she has. It is extremely rare for Maxine to be doing any kind of public working – which makes this event extra special and not something you would want to miss out on. This may be the only chance many Alexandrians will have. During the 1960s Alex met Maxine, whom he initiated into the Craft and made his high priestess. In 1965 they handfasted and lived in a basement flat near Notting Hill Gate in London, where they ran their coven and taught classes on Witchcraft.
Speakers will also include:
Sharon Day is an Occultist, Alexandrian Priestess, Truth Seeker, Witch, and Alexandrian Witchcraft Historian. Sharon has been building an online historical archive for Wicca and will be presenting the new working website for the first time at this event.
Geraldine Beskins is in constant demand as she so strongly represents the living history of magic. Her biographical lectures on many of the esoteric luminaries have taken her all over the world and she has written numerous articles and has helped the Media with various projects. Her memory for people, events and books is astonishing and we look forward to her sharing with us what Alexandrian Witchcraft has meant to the occult community
Darren V. Strongman needs no introduction to Alexandrians, he has established himself in many circles and is an admin for European Alexandrians Facebook page. Darren will be helping compére the event.
Films and other:
A specially made short film has been commissioned and will be shown in segments during the event – Made up from submissions of stories requested publicly from people who knew or had a story to share about Alex and the Alexandrian Craft.
The event itself is being filmed and will become part of the living breathing history of Alexandrian Witchcraft.
