Extremely rare 3 vol ‘large paper’ set in original parchment paper wraps. Fragile original parchment wraps have not survived in any other examples, this is a remarkable set of this rare work in its original presentation.
Privately published by Edmund Goldsmid in Edinburgh 1887 this is the first English treatment of the terrible case of Urbain Grandier and of possessions suffered by the Ursuline nuns at the convent of Loudun in 1634.
